We are located in Borgarfjörður near the magical place that is Húsafell in Western Iceland. From Reykjavík it takes 1:45 min to get here without stopping. On the way here you will pass some majestic and historic places that should not be missed.
This includes Reykholt historic sight, home of Snorri Sturluson (1174-1241) author of Snorra Edda.
Deildartunguhver, Europs most powerfull hotspring.
Tröllafossar, and Barnafossar/hraunfossar. Iceland is world renowned for its waterfalls and these 3 waterfalls should not go unseen.
Húsafell is well known camping and holiday area, known for its long spells of good weather, it is the perfect place for lunch.
A highland road (gravel) of Kaldidalur is open in summer time only. This highlands passage connects Þingvellir national park with Borgarfjörður. This offers a great opportunity for a circular route from Reykjavík to Reykjavík, hitting some of the very best highlights the SouthWest has to offer.
